I know what you're thinking but no it's not me! It is however a much more loyal, good looking kinda guy even if does act freaky for a cat. Looking for a good home for this cat pictured below. Litter trained, approx 8 mos old and has a fetish for suckers, the literal kind or anything else to bat around the room for that matter. Contact me if interested ASAP.
Warmer weather has arrived and Digital Storm Photography is looking for some HOT rides! Not as in stolen but those that make you want to drive it like it was! We're looking for classic hot rods, custom bikes (particularly Harley's), and 4x4's with lift and looks to go with it. We know you love your ride and with spring approaching it's time to get it cleaned up and let us capture this awesome piece of machinery in it's best light. We'll even give you more encouragement to do so by waiving our creation fee (with a signed property/model release of course) and giving you one free print! That's a savings of over $100 not to mention the chance to have your ride published in a magazine, calendar, or other promotional type stuff!!! We'll even try to have a model or two on hand if you're a little camera shy! This is a limited time offer so contact us today to set up an appointment!
This is a great opportunity to showcase our metallic prints and we'll upgrade any purchased print to metallic finish FREE! If you've not seen some of our metallic prints first hand you have got to check them out as I assure you they will make heads turn. We're also offering the latest cutting edge technology in print production.........prints made on aluminum! You can get custom made license plates, dog tags, and even entire wall murals with your photos printed on them.
Another new product we're looking to introduce is "skins" for everything from xbox 360 to vehicles. These high quality vinyl stick ons we'll be designed in house with printing done by pro labs. These are similar to our "wallhog" products in which we can take any photo and make it life size to apply to any smooth painted surface. Our vehicle skins are weather resistent and can be custom designed for not only your vehicle but for your business as well. Save thousands of dollars over custom paint jobs and it's removeable so it doesn't effect the resale value of your car! Some ideas besides business applications.............. I'm sure we've all seen the bumper stickers "my son/daughter is a marine" why not a custom made graphic that includes a picture of them in uniform, any size you want?!!! Show your pride for high school sports, turn your motorcyle gas tank into a rolling show and tell, turn your entire vehicle into a cheetah skinned animal. The possibilities are endless! Our first customers we'll recieve some deep discounts never to be seen again so contact us if interested!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Kate whom hails from the windy city of Chicago but now works and lives in Columbus Ohio. The forecast was 70% chance of rain/snow so while I wanted some outdoor shots I did not plan to get them. Once she arrived and the weather held steady with only some clouds and even sunshine visible we did venture out close to the studio to get a few shots. If you have the chance to shoot with Kate you'll find that she's very easy to work with and friendly. Here are a few of my favorites from our session.
We will hopefully be doing some new stuff in regard to on location, strobist lighting techniques here soon. Casting call is out for some models to participate so stay tuned!
Certainly one of the most debated subjects, like Nikon or Canon. Perhaps they should do a video like this one.

Lately we've been busy getting some of our amazing customers Christmas gift orders ready so we've been slow on blog postings. We were also tasked with capturing the Hood Saunders wedding a short time back, and as those of you who attended can attest, was a terrific wedding. Ashley was simply a beautiful bride and John an incredibly kind and awesome groom which I hope the pictures capture. Here's some of our favorites from their wedding and feel free to comment and congratulate them on their nuptials.
Some of you may remember John from a senior session with us in recent past. He had his photos taken with a lot of cool Mustang's and some great fall colors. He and his big sis Jessica booked a session to get some Christmas gifts that I'm sure will be cherished for a lifetime. One thing for sure, when you have any doubts of what to get someone for Christmas or any gift for that matter, try getting some custom portraits done. Pictures are an investment that never expire and capture the true spirit of giving something that will be cherished for years. Check out some of our favorites from their session!
This weekend was spent working with Tiffany, our Jackson senior rep, and Sunday with the Long family. Now if any of you reading this has ever had the opportunity to spend some time with Jeremy, Amy and the young ones then I'm sure you know what a delight they are. The kids were super awesome and quite entertaining to say the least. Little "K" was as cute as a button with a 3 going on 12 year old mentality who had us all laughing at times. "B" is a ladies man and simply needed little instruction for working the camera.
Now usually I don't post "outtakes" simply because it's not like you're wanting to process pictures that have little value for effort but I came across a few that I just can't help but smile at so I've color corrected and done minimal processing to post..................
"K" got frustrated at one point upon receiving posing instructions from dad and simply replied something to the effect of "you're not the picture boss dad, that's not what he meant". She was a riot!
And last but not least.......... now can you give your big brother a hug? I think that was code for headlock!
Ok enough of the funny stuff. Here's a sneak peek of some of the better ones. "K" is just a doll baby and check out "B" working the camera.
Ok, so we've been a little lax on blogging as of late and rather than bore you with excuses and such we'll just move forward with some of the recent highlights!
First off we'll mention a wonderful little shoot with one of the Jackson County Apple Festival Mini Queens, yes forgive the unofficial title here. This is little Emma and she was a treat to work with. She seem to like working the camera especially if you let her do the wonder woman pose or jump in the air. She wanted a fun shoot so fun it was.

In closing we want to mention that the deadline for getting things in before christmas is fast approaching so don't hesitate to contact us for that special gift! Photographs, custom designed cards and gifts would not only make one of the most cherished gifts to recieve but also a gift that would never be forgotten for years to come!
We finally got the opportunity to have a shoot with Breana whom will be representing Digital Storm Photography at Vinton County High School! Breana is a proud VCHS majorette who is also actively involved in the drama club and 4H so we're sure she'll get the chance to show her photos and answer any questions you may have. As mentioned before but worth mentioning again, our senior reps are supplied with some great offers to include free photos by simply booking with us and presenting your rep's card! Now for a few photos in case you've never had the opportunity to meet Breana..........
Also wanted to acknowledge a recent family get together to celebrate my grandfather's 91st b-day. It was great to be able to host the event and while he has his ailments it's really awesome he can still get out and around if even for a little while. I think he looks great photographically speaking as well and I'm hoping to get an enlarged print one day of this photo.

They're several things to mention this week but wanted to separate each on their own so bear with me. One the big things I wanted to pass along was our recent acceptance to be a part of the Littlest Hero's Project which is an organization of volunteers and photographers trying to pay it forward by capturing special photos of children with debilitating illnesses or conditions. The idea was formed by an amazing 17 year old girl who has faced a number of challenges in her own life. I encourage you to check the website out and read her story! Also if you know of anyone with a situation like those described on the website you should encourage them to participate not only to get some captured memories of their little hero but to bring awareness for all those facing these challenges daily! Every child is special and we know it will be a pleasure to work with them! We've incorporated a clickable graphic for the organization to the right side of this blog so it can be easily accessed in the future. Anyone wishing to paticipate we ask that you work directly with the project first and complete the initial phase before contacting us directly. If you need help with this then feel free to contact us! Check out the video for a glimpse of those participating already.
Edit: I could really go on and on about this as I research more but I'll try to leave it at this.... check out the Give Back page of same organization. Anyone can volunteer for this great cause and we'd be more than happy to help you in this endeavor. Spread the word, donate, or simply let us know of any ideas you may have!
Spent this past Tuesday evening doing a shoot with Thressa, a Jackson senior with an outgoing personality and very large collection of formal dresses! It was a pleasure working with Thressa and having the help of her younger sis for most of the shoot. Here's a sneak peek of Thressa's shoot. Feel free to comment and let her know how beautiful she looks.
